Summer Sprint Series

Keep the momentum. Don't let summer stall your book.

June 8 – August 28, 2026 · Three sprints · Open enrollment

Summer is when momentum dies. This is the antidote.

Most authors lose the summer. Life gets looser, routines fall apart, and the book that was moving in May sits untouched until September. By then you're not just behind - you're rebuilding.

The Strategic Author Summer Sprint Series is a structured 12-week program for authors who want to keep moving. Three focused two-week sprints, a clear framework for setting and hitting your own goals (whatever they are — writing, researching agents, or planning your book launch), and a community of serious authors working alongside you.

Choose your track

Summer Sprint, there aren’t any assigned topics, because its summer! And we are grown-ups! This is a choose your own adventure situation (although Linda does have options if you prefer), You set your goal, and you do the work - with structure and support that actually helps.

Summer Sprint Structure

For each of the three sprints, you choose your focus. Each sprint opens with a live kickoff — you declare your goal for the next two weeks. We’ve got a mid-sprint coworking session to give you protected time to do the actual work. Async check-ins keep momentum between live sessions. At the end of each sprint, you wrap, reflect, and celebrate your accomplishment!

  • A live Monday kickoff to set your goal

  • Async check-ins mid-week to keep momentum

  • A weekend coworking session — bring your work, Linda's there

  • A live Friday wrap to share wins and set up the next sprint

Choose Your Adventure!

Every author is somewhere different. The Sprint Series meets you where you are — pick the track that matches your most urgent work, and change it every sprint if you need to.

  • Still Writing? Write / Revise — Put words on the page. Lots of them. You’ll have friends to keep you accountable.

  • Getting Ready to Publish? Discoverability • Query & Submission • Distribution / Going Wide — Get found, get pitched, get distributed.

  • Ready to Launch? Launch Ops • Platform — Build the machine. Run it.

Community & Accountability

You won't be doing this alone.

Every sprint runs inside our private community platform — where you'll post your goals, share your progress, and hear what your fellow authors are working on. The async check-ins between live sessions are where a lot of the real work happens: accountability without the overhead of another meeting.

You'll also get access to select materials and frameworks to help you work through the suggested tracks.

A little more detail

Not sure which track to choose? Linda can point you in the right direction — and for the five publishing tracks, she'll share curated resources and frameworks from the full TSA curriculum to support your sprint work. You can choose a different path for each sprint, or build on your progress by keeping to the same area — it is totally up to you! It is the Summer after all! A time for less structure but also so much creative energy! Let’s harness that energy and make some progress on your book!

  1. Get Your Writing Done! Move the manuscript forward with the support of a community of fellow authors. Draft, revise, proof, or get it out the door.

  2. Let’s Get Visible! Discoverability  — BISAC codes, keywords, blurb, reviews - the infrastructure that determines whether strangers can find your book and decide it's for them.

  3. Your Author Platform — Email list, website, Substack, social presence - figure out what your platform actually is today and build the simplest system you can sustain.

  4. Query + Submission Strategy — Build your target agent list, develop your query letter and synopsis, and get your pitch materials into fighting shape.

  5. Distribution + Going Wide — KDP Select tradeoffs, platform decisions, pricing ladder - choose and implement your distribution strategy without chaos.

  6. Launch Ops — ARC team, preorder page, newsletter swaps, promo stack - a launch built as a repeatable system, not a chaotic event.

Meet your Coach

Linda Secondari, a woman with shoulder-length gray hair, black glasses, and makeup, wearing a black top, against a plain white background.

I’m Linda Secondari, founder of Studiolo Secondari and a publishing strategist with more than two decades of experience helping authors create books that resonate and find their audiences. I cut my teeth as an in-house Creative Director — most recently at Oxford University Press — where I partnered with editors, marketers, publishers, and authors to shape meaningful books and position them for real-world impact.

Those years taught me how books compete in a crowded marketplace: how they signal to readers, how they communicate value, and how they’re discovered. My work now centers on sharing that understanding with authors who want to produce books with clarity, intention, and a strong sense of where their place is.

I bring a blend of creative direction, editorial insight, and market strategy — all designed to help you approach your work with the mindset and confidence of a seasoned publishing professional.

Here’s what I’ve learned after shaping hundreds of books:

The most successful authors don’t just write well — they think like publishers.

Finally, a book coach with the professional poise to create a productive environment for the members of the group, and the deep industry experience to inform their guidance. Spending three months in The Strategic Author program gave much-needed clarity to my writer’s journey.
